Vision of Being His Bride

We had a wonderful fun-filled day and were driving home from “down south”.  Our kids were asleep in the back, hubby driving and me just watching the lights and traffic as they whisked by.  I wasn’t thinking about anything in particular, just enjoying the ride.  All of a sudden an amazing picture was before me.  And I was in it.  Have you ever watched a movie and you became the star?  You were so involved and caught up in it that you thought  about it for days after seeing it?  What happened that night was better than watching the greatest of movies.

All of a sudden I was in the most beautiful wedding gown known to man.  Now I say this because when my daughters got married, I thought they were the most beautiful things that God ever made.  But, in comparison, how beautiful I was in this dress, was well like comparing earth to heaven.  There’s just no comparison.

So I’m in my wedding gown when Jesus walks in and I have to say,  He is so excited.  He is exclaiming how beautiful I am; He is the Groom that can’t wipe the grin off of His face.   And I, I feel so loved.  I have never felt loved like that before.  My Jesus embraces me and looks at me and melts my heart.   Then He announces,  “Let’s go see our Father.  I want to show you to Him.”  The picture changes and now  He escorts me into the Father’s throne room.   My  Bridegroom was dancing and excited and so proud as He presented me to the Father.  He exclaimed with an electrified voice, “Behold My Bride”.

As His bride, I felt completely loved, safe and cherished.  I was His prize.  He was my everything.  We were just plain happy to be together.  And to top it off,  we were in the presence of our Father.  In my vision, I never really saw the Father, but I sensed His delight and His joy that His Son had His bride.  The bride that He had given His all for.

I got to be the bride in that vision but I can tell you, I am just part of His Bride.  Rev. 19:7-9 says “Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!  For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.  Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”  Then the angel said to me,  “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”

Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him.  You and I are that joy.  We are His bride, we are the reason He endured.  I have not been the same since He showed me that vision.  I know He loves me and I love Him.  He is in me and I am in Him, we are inseparable and that’s just the way I want it to stay.  Sometimes I don’t understand why things happen or get what He is doing in my life but I do know that I am loved and I know He is Good, all the time.   He has set me free from fear because “Perfect love casts out all fear” 1John 4:18.  He doesn’t just have love for us, He is love and so His love is pure, unconditional and unselfish.  What joy there is in knowing that we are fully known and yet fully loved.  A Cloudy Day

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!  1John 3:1

We love because He first loved us.  1John 4:19.

My question to you is:  Do you know how much you are loved by God?  If not, please ask Him to reveal the measure of His love for you personally.

Right on!!!! That was such a good a good “vision” I shall pass it on as all of us need to have a personaly understanding of How much God loves us.
    Love you,

  2. Laurie Gosh says:

Thank you, Pam, for sending this to me. It is such a clear picture of God’s love, and an area I struggle in, loving me personally.
    I appreciate what you wrote.
    Love you.

Hi Dear Laurie, It seems so easy to believe God loves others but to believe He loves me? That’s another story. I guess cause we know ourselves so well and know how much we (I) blow it, that it’s hard to believe He loves us so much. But I’m convinced He loves each of us so much now, He is so good. Thanks for your comment.
